The Ghost Ghillie Suit is a hefty beefy ghillie suit. Our first impression of this ghillie suit was how full it was. It seems to have at least twice, maybe 3 times the amount of threading as compared to the other ghillie suits that we’ve reviewed. According to experienced snipers, it is better to have just enough to break up your outline. Too much makes you stand out. But this suit serves other purposes.
Jacket and Pants
This ghillie suit base is a lightweight fabric with tiny holes, think of an NBA basketball jersey. The synthetic thread is stitched directly onto the fabric and is double looped. The jacket has a four snap button front and an attached hood. The pants come with a drawstring waist.
Sizes
As with most ghillie suits, it comes in two sizes, Regular and Extra Large. Regular for those under 6′0″ and XL for those above.
Dry Grass
Ghost Ghillie Suits has a new dry grass pattern that is unique to their ghillie suit. It is a slight yellowish green color that is made to resember dead or dry grass. In the past we’ve been using desert ghillie suits for our winter trips. Desert patterns are usually tan and black. The dry grass suit is pretty much one color.
Rating
This ghillie suit is best suited for those who need deep cover. In the past we have talked about ghillie suits where we felt there was not enough material but this is the opposite. There is alot of thread and the good news is that you can thin down your ghillie suit if it’s too thick with some scissors. The included rifle wrap is hefty also.
